Employees of S. Carpenter Construction Co. of Bristol were out in a drizzle Tuesday, Nov. 16, putting down the first layer of pavement on Phase III of the Farmington River Trail.
By the looks of things, it appeared the first layer would be down from River Road (Route 179) to where Allen Place meets Maple Avenue by the end of the day.
The 10,000-foot-long project all the way to Lovely Street is expected to be finished next summer.
