Sam Collins Day is about as good as it gets around here when it comes to meet-and-greets. That’s why I’m looking forward to this Saturday, Sept. 25, when I’ll be on the Canton Volunteer Fire Co. Field on Canton Springs Road from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to meet and greet the folks I’m working to reach through dotCANTON.com.
Please stop by booth 102 and say hello. We’ll be conducting a free raffle, in which you’ll have a chance to win a signed copy of “Canton Remembers: Incidents In Local History,” edited by Dr. and Mrs. Lawrence S. Carlton, and a basket of munchies to enjoy while you’re going through the book’s 220 interesting pages.
You’ll also be able to sign up for the dotCANTON newsletter, and I’ll even have a little something for you to take home.
Please bring along any ideas you might have for dotCANTON; I’ll be all ears.
Sept. 22 marked the four-month anniversary of my first post on dotCANTON.com. I sent out a townwide mailing at the beginning of August to introduce myself. Now, finally, we get the chance to meet face to face and chat a bit. I’ll be the guy in the blue T-shirt with dotCANTON.com in white letters, front and back — these days, I rarely leave home without one on.
