From this vantage point, you might think you're looking at curls of white smoke drifting down from the ceiling in the lobby of the Gallery on the Green. Or maybe it looks like curled white ribbon or white streamers. But you have to remember the show that opened downstairs at the gallery on Friday, Aug. 27, is titled "Reuse and Recycle: Thinking Green." “Reuse and Recycle: Thinking Green” opened downstairs Friday, Aug. 27, at Gallery on the Green, a show that offers a grand visual greeting for visitors as soon as they pop through the front door. An additional 30 creations await inside.
There’s more upstairs, of course, including the sculptures of Betty Gerich and the paintings of Suzan Fox (egg tempera) and her sister, Donna Morency (oil/pastel).
An opening reception party is scheduled for 6 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28. It’s free, and the public is invited. All three shows will run through Sunday, Sept. 26. Gallery on the Green is open Friday through Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m.

Suzan Fox will be offering a six-week course on egg tempera painting at the gallery beginning on Oct. 4. The cost is $60 for each three-hour session, plus a one-time fee of $20 for supplies. Registration is required by Sept. 28. Suzan can be reached at suzanfox@att.net.
