A Toe-Tapping Evening

Keyboard player Glenn Hardy of Mystic gets into it during a solo tribute to legendary American composer and pianist Scott Joplin.

Dan Stevens puts his recently acquired homemade cigar box guitar to work.

Downtown Collinsville was the site, and the Dan Stevens Trio brought the sounds of blues and American roots music as the Canton Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series returned Thursday evening, July 22, from the porch of the Canton Historical Museum. The series resumes on Thursday, July 29, when the Farmington Valley Band performs in Mills Pond Park.

A Collinsville Alternative

Week 3 of the Canton Parks and Recreation Summer Concert Series isn’t the only reason to be in Collinsville tonight.

At 7 p.m., Gallery 101 Main will present “Mary McNally: A Connecticut Yankee in Kuwait.”

According to Gallery 101 owner Doug Tubach, McNally will provide an “interesting perspective on Middle Eastern culture.”

Refreshments will be served.
