A town tradition that always draws a lot of people who love to eat returns in just over a month, when the Canton Volunteer Fire Company holds its 30th annual Lobsterfest at the firehouse on Canton Springs Road.
The three-day event begins at 6 p.m. on Friday evening, Aug. 20, resumes at noon on Saturday, Aug. 21, and continues on Sunday, Aug. 22, from noon until 4 p.m. … if the food lasts that long.
For $18, visitors get a serving of New England clam chowder, lobster, corn and a beverage. Hamburgers, hot dogs and french fries will be available for “landlubbers,” as the fire company puts it.
Food will be served until 9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
“The Fabulous Turkey Foot Band” will perform Friday night, and diners will also be able to check out a classic car show sponsored by Canton Auto Parts.
“The Johnny Larsen Band with Carolyn Rae” will perform on Saturday.
Attendees never have to worry about bad weather at Lobsterfest; all the eating is done under cover.
